About Services

Brian Covell

Our service, called "Celebration of Life", is held each Sunday morning at 11AM from the second week of September to the third week of June. The major elements of our service are a brief lay-lead opening; a brief Religious Education interaction with our children; minister led readings, meditation and sermon; and, throughout the service, outstanding music.

The music is richly varied, including hymns based on the Protestant tradition, but always extended to classical music, folk song, Latin jazz, African-American gospel or blues. Meet our Music and Choir Director at Music.

The RE interaction is between the RE Director and children as she shares a lesson that begins the RE program for the day. The children then leave the service. See Religious Education to find out more. Also, see Child Care for babies and toddlers.

Each service is preceded by a Forum at 10AM with a speaker, usually on a topic of social justice. See About Forums for more about this important feature of our church life.

Meet our minister, Reverend Brian H. Covell, at Minister .

See     Services/Forums Schedule for dates and topics.
