A new Charting Self monthly series is scheduled to begin in Franklin Park, Illinois, on January 15. The Charting Self series offers participants an opportunity to explore how the pushes and pulls of relationships may have shaped their religious (or other) beliefs over the years. It also helps participants identify beliefs that are grounded in "basic self" and useful for maintaining a steady life course. The series is based on Bowen family systems theory and focuses on the use of the "Beliefs Chart." UU's (clergy and others) may register for the series at a $50 discount over the regular registration fee.

HOLIDAY FOOD AND GIFT BASKET NEEDS SPONSORS  The Holiday Food and Gift Basket, provides food gift certificates and gifts for local needy families. They greatly need sponsors for this year's program. We have more recipients than ever before and not enough people to buy gifts for them. If you can help by sponsoring one or more individuals or families, it would be greatly appreciated. Do you belong to a group or organization which can help sponsor? Many groups sponsor several families each year. It is a rewarding and fun way to make the holidays bright for others. If you can sponsor, please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 771-6159 ext 244. Leave your name, address, home phone number and sponsor preference (number of people, singles, families, seniors). We will match you with a family for whom you shop and we will tell you where and when to drop off the gifts. Thanks for helping those in need in our community.
