A Note from Sabbatical Minister Lynne Garner
    After a year away completing internship in Hinsdale, it is with pleasure that I return to TUC as its sabbatical minister for the months of August and September. Over the years, I have grown to cherish this church full of people with open hearts and minds and continuing energy for social justice work.
            While Brian is on sabbatical, I look forward to being among you once again, and in a new role. During the month of August, I will not be holding office hours during the day, but will be available for limited pastoral care on an emergency basis. In September, I will set up limited office hours TBA.
            While we recognize that all of us, from the minister down, need a time to rest and replenish our energies, the church that we love does not go on vacation. As we enjoy the annual block party in August, we wish Brian well on the Appalachian Trail and on that mountain in Maine that falls short of the highest mountain in my native state of New York by a few feet. We can't all have the source of the Hudson.
