We are engaged in our community: growing community gardens; providing scholarship awards to outstanding Austin-area high school graduates; and working with community partners, including: the Central Austin Neighborhood Association (CANA), UU Prison Ministry of Illinois, UU Advocacy Network of Illinois (UUANI), Community Renewal Society, and the Community of Congregations.  For all the latest updates see our TUC Facebook page.

Revitalizing neighborhoods 16 blocks at a time! CANA brings our neighborhood together to advocate for community improvement - pooling our time and resources to accomplish common goals: • Annual community-building events like the Austin Arts Affair and Raspberry Festival • Identify alternative strategies for neighborhood safety • Foster creativity and expression with Spoken Word workshops. CANA meetings are hosted at our congregation, 301 N. Mayfield, 2nd Tuesdays of each month, 6:30pm. Check out CANA’s website for more information.
