We are a Unitarian Universalist congregation, celebrating 150 years on Chicago's west side! We believe in love's power to foster healing, combat oppression, and transform our world. With historical roots in the Christian and Jewish traditions, we affirm and promote truths in many of the world's major religions, affirming the 7 principles of Black Lives of UU, and the 7 principles of Unitarian Universalism.
Our spirituality draws from scripture and science, nature and philosophy, personal experience and ancient tradition as described in the Six Sources of Unitarian Universalism. We are people of all ages, many backgrounds, and many beliefs, who come together to create a spiritual community, working for more justice and compassion in our world.
